Certificate questions, answered
How long does a certificate take?
Most undergraduate certificates take 6 to 12 months. Each course is eight weeks long and new courses begin every month.
Can I study online?
Yes. Our undergraduate programs are flexible and fully remote, so you can learn from anywhere.
Will my certificate count toward a degree?
Yes. Credits from certificate courses can be applied toward an undergraduate degree. Every school decides for itself what credits it accepts, so ask an advisor how your credits will apply, especially if you compare accredited seminary schools.
Do I need a degree before I start?
Please review the admission requirements for the latest details, or request information and an advisor will guide you.
What is the difference between a certificate and a degree?
A certificate is shorter and focused on one area, like preaching or practical ministry. A degree, such as a bachelor degree, covers more subjects and takes longer. Many students begin with a certificate and move into a degree later.
