You should not have to choose between faith and accreditation.

Kingdom formation and academic strength, together.

Many students want a degree that employers and other schools recognize. They also want teaching that helps them grow in faith and leadership. Whether you first found us as Kingdom Builders Bible Seminary or as Kingdom Theological Seminary, our partnership with Southeastern University (SEU) gives you both.

SEU offers its accredited degree programs through the SEU Network, and KTS supplies the Kingdom theology, spiritual formation, and hands-on ministry training. You learn in a caring community, and you earn a degree with national recognition.

Accreditation, explained simply

If you are comparing accredited seminary schools, you deserve clear facts. Southeastern University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). That means it meets set standards for quality in higher education.

Degrees earned through this partnership come from SEU. KTS also offers ministry training that is not part of this partnership. See our non-accredited programs and read about accreditation at KTS. Every school decides which credits it accepts, so ask an advisor how your credits will transfer.

Partnership questions, answered

Am I a KTS student or an SEU student?

Both, in different ways. You are fully enrolled at SEU and earn an SEU degree. KTS is your learning community, with mentors, Kingdom teaching, and ministry practice.

Will my degree be accredited?

Degrees earned through the partnership come from Southeastern University, which is accredited by SACSCOC. Ask an advisor how your credits will transfer to other schools.

Are classes online?

SEU courses are online or hybrid, so you can learn from your home community. Courses are set up for both traditional students and working adults.

Can I use federal financial aid?

Eligible students can access federal financial aid. SEU oversees financial aid, and you can start with our financial aid page.

Do ministry practicums count toward my degree?

Yes. Practicums and ministry experiences through KTS count toward degree requirements.

Do you offer a doctor of divinity degree or a doctor of theology degree?

Many students ask about these titles. Our doctoral options include the Doctor of Ministry and the PhD in Theology. If you want a specific title, ask our team which path fits your goals.
